2. Hosting and server logs

This website is provided on a server operated by us at Hetzner in Germany. Each request processes technically necessary data, including IP address, date and time of access, requested file, referrer URL, volume of data transferred, HTTP status code, and browser and operating-system information.

Processing serves secure and stable operation, error analysis, and defence against attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log data is deleted when no longer necessary for these purposes, unless retention is required to investigate security incidents.

3. Contact by email, phone, contact form or WhatsApp

When you contact us by email, phone or through the contact form, we process the data you provide, in particular your name, email address or phone number, optionally your company, your topic and the content of your message, to handle your request. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request concerns entering into or performing a contract; otherwise it is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The contact form sends your details through our own server in Germany to a mail service we operate, which forwards them by email to our inbox. We send these emails through domaincru.sh. To prevent abuse, the mail service processes your IP address to limit the number of requests per sender. It is kept in memory only and not stored permanently.

The "WhatsApp" link lets you message us on WhatsApp, a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Ireland. Our website loads nothing from WhatsApp. WhatsApp only processes data when you use it, under its own privacy policy. If you do not want that, please email us instead.

We delete this data once your request has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

4. Price calculator

On the website development page, our price calculator gives you a non-binding estimate. For this we process your answers about the planned project, your name, your email address and whether you would like an intro call. Our server in Germany calculates the estimate and shows it to you directly on the page.

We send your details and the estimate to our inbox by email in the same way as the contact form (section 3), so that we can answer questions and, if you wish, arrange an intro call with you. We do not use your email address for advertising. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, because you request the estimate as a step towards a possible contract.

The estimate is a calculation from your own answers and not an automated decision within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR. We delete the data as described in section 3.

5. Cookies and consent

We store your cookie choice in the cookie "bf_consent" for twelve months. This cookie is required to respect your decision. The legal basis is section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG and Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

We only use further cookies and comparable technologies if you have consented to the "Statistics" or "Marketing" category (section 25(1) TDDDG, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page.

6. Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics

Only if you have consented do we load Google Tag Manager, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Tag Manager manages further services; in particular, it loads Google Analytics 4. Without your consent, neither Tag Manager nor any other Google service is loaded.

Google Analytics uses cookies or comparable technologies that allow analysis of website usage, such as pages viewed, time spent, and approximate location and device data. The information generated is transmitted to and processed by Google, including on servers in the United States. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which an adequacy decision of the European Commission exists.

The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with section 25(1) TDDDG. Further information is available in Google's Privacy Policy.

7. Recipients

As infrastructure provider, Hetzner has access to technically necessary data in connection with hosting. We send messages from the contact form and the price calculator through domaincru.sh. Google receives the data stated in section 6 if you have consented. WhatsApp receives data only if you message us on WhatsApp. Further transfers take place only where permitted or required by law.

8. Your rights

Subject to statutory requirements, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is in particular the North Rhine-Westphalia Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

9. Automated decisions

Automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR, does not take place.
